    These get stinky too. I’ve had them for 2 years now and despite washing, they impart an off flavour to the ice, but I suffer through it because the shape is so cool.

    We finally got a water line hooked up to our fridge to make ice, no more plastic trays and water spills.

    Rumour has it (I’ve never tried it) that using distilled water and boiling it before pouring it into an ice cube tray gives you sparkling, clear ice cubes.
