Shopping in Milan
After a recent shooting trip to Tuscany, Italy, Kristina and I took a couple of extra days and took the train to Milan for a little retail therapy.
Neither of us had been there before and we’ve all heard how great the shopping is supposed to be, so we were curious.
We stayed at the beautiful Hotel Savoia, located right on the edge of downtown. For the most part I would recommend this hotel. The service was good and prompt and everyone spoke English well. I would also recommend the hotel bar: very formal and old school and a nice spot for a glass of Prosecco, Italy’s champagne.
The shopping was pretty good and Milan is a great city for walking. I recommend Patrizia Pepe for women’s fashions (she makes great belts).
And be sure to have a meal at Santa Lucia near the Duomo (which is about the extent of the sightseeing there is to do here). You won’t be sorry, trust me!
