Tuscany and white truffles

The Tuscan countryside was absolutely stunning and the food was off the charts.

We arrived right at the beginning of white truffle season so had the great fortune of eating many dishes with these gems…which are my absolute food weakness. I’d take a meal of white truffles, simple pasta with olive oil and a nice bottle of medium bodied red wine over just about anything!

What’s wonderful about this region is the food and wines it produces. From super Tuscan wines to the truffles to the olive oil and the cheese, if you like Italian food this is where you’ll find some of the best ingredients in the world.

If ever you take a trip here, find out when and where the local markets are and take the time to stroll through the stalls. Your senses will be overwhelmed.
